AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION

AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION

  1. The provisions of this constitution or part of it shall be subject to amendment as follows:
  2. A motion for amendment shall be in written form and shall bear the name of the mover and the seconder and shall be submitted to the clerk of the Senate at least seven (7) days before the next sitting of the Senate.
  3. Such motion for amendment shall be displayed on all notice boards by the clerk of the Senate at least five (5) days before sitting.
  4. No amendment shall be made on partisan interest.
  5. A motion for amendment shall be effected by approval of 2/3 members of the Senate at a sitting summoned exclusively for the purpose.
  6. The amended part of the constitution shall be communicated in writing to the University through the Dean, Student Affairs not later than forty-eight (48) hours after such amendment for approval.
  7. The amendment as approval by the University shall be displayed on all notice boards by the clerk of the Senate.
