STUDENT LOAN REGULATION

The Student Loan Regulation seeks to provide guidelines and procedure for the issuance of loans to the ordinary members and officers of the FUNAAB Student Union

STUDENT LOAN ISSUANCE GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURE.

  1. All or any ordinary member and officer of the union who wishes to obtain for himself/herself a loan from the Student Union shall make an application for such loan to the president of the Union with an acknowledgement from the DSA.
  2. The President shall then direct the General Secretary and Director of Finance of the Union to prepare documents relevant to the issuance of such loan. The documents shall include a signed agreement to return the loan within a stipulated time not later than the third week of second semester.
  3. The Director of Finance shall issue a loan form which must be filled by the student intending to obtain loan from the Student Union.
  4. The president of the Union shall then write to the Senate for final approval on the issuance of the loans. The President shall along the letter attach all relevant documents and a copy of the loan form for the Senate perusal.
  5. No loan above thirty thousand Naira shall be issued.
  6. There shall be punitive measures against students who fail to return their loans as determined by the Senate with the help of the Student Affairs.
